About us
Awareness Apparel Australia was founded by Toby Anscombe, with a vision to promote an understanding of the abilities of people who have a disability.
Toby was born premature with renal failure and cerebral palsy.
Toby had a kidney removed at the age of 5 and the other kidney was removed at the age of 14, when his mother donated a kidney to be transplanted.
His family were told he would never be able to walk unaided, but the determination of his family and himself pushed him to walk independently.
Toby’s school life and his involvement in integrated football and cricket, Has seen him grow up with people who have lots of different ranges of disability.
The vision of the business is to highlight that everybody has a special ability and make people look past the disability and see their abilities.
This business sells quality clothing to promote this message. Awareness Apparel Australia also have a wholesale division where we can supply team uniforms, to corporate’s and sporting organisations.
Toby’s plan is to build the business to a point where he can provide employment to others who have a similar abilities.
